SYNC has developed the Dura Motion ECO Stretch fabric combining the state of the art durability we are known for in an ecologically responsible fabric. Using 56% recycled polyester yarn and 44% Dupont Sorona, a bio-based yarn, we have actually increased stretch and UV fade resistance without sacrificing any of the toughness. Sorona contains 37% renewable plant-based ingredients, uses 30 less energy and releases 63% fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to the production of Nylon 6.
Using a recycled mono-core and Sorona yarn wrapped 800X, woven with mechanical stretch, 200 hours of UV resistance and 20K/20K waterproof/breathable membrane, SYNC has created yet another ultimate performance fabric.
The Uneva is a great shell by itself and great for layering when needed.
Piling on the praise for this well-crafted shell! There are plenty of details that set this shell apart from other brands. The stretch material is fantastic. If there were ever a downside, it would be the cut: I’m 5’-10”, 180lbs and am a solid medium in this jacket. Even with a Deluge long-sleeve and Benchmark jacket underneath, there is still more room in the sleeves and chest. In addition, the seams on the shoulders are wide to accommodate carrying skis on the shoulder (the material on the shoulders is awesome). But for those of us who like a little more tailored look, it’s a boxy fit up top even for a broad-shouldered guy like me. However, this tends to be the case across the Sync jacket lines (my training jacket is similar), so I can’t complain. The quality and details far outweigh this point - fantastic product!!
I recently wore this shell for 3 days of skiing in the high 40s to mid 50s temp at Breck and really enjoyed the wind proof quality of the jacket. It kept me warm when the wind was picking up. I also liked the Pit zip where it allows the body to cool off and doesn’t feel like you’ll overheat during spring skiing. I would have liked it to be more form and athletic fitting where it tapers around the midsection of the jacket-it runs big. Besides that I really enjoyed wearing the jacket.
Good jacket for the price. It's fabric is lightweight but does its job well. Compared to my other overpriced jacket it runs a bit big. My only wish would be that it had a gator.
After a full season, here's the scoop: Good investment for those that don't get to go inside when it get's ugly!
Whether brutal cold, 35 degrees and raining or 65 and sunny, layered properly, it was always comfortable, dry and just kept looking cool.
Pit zips allowed for venting, or not.
Shoulder texture holds up to back packs, skis, gates, fencing, etc.
It has the perfect scraper pocket.
