Waterproof, breathable with Primaloft insulation, the Kid’s Top Step Side Zip Pant, like its adult counterpart, is the pant to end all zipper fumbling on bone chilling days. We know the agony of glovelessly defrosting your iced zippers while the blistering wind chaps your face. That’s why this pant features our 3/4 Step-Through™ construction design, which places the zipper just short of the waistband so you don’t have to try to connect the zipper at the top. To warm up without the hassle, just step right in and zip down.


Like every product we make, this pant too has a story behind it. Geof, our founder, describes it as the worst ski day of his life. It was a cold, windy morning at Burke and he was trying to get his pants on over his suit and fumbling because he couldn’t get the snow-filled zippers to connect. It was freezing out, the wind was howling, and he was having to take his gloves off (instant frostbite) to try and put the zipper together, or as he describes it, "put his diaper on."Never again.

My daughter loves these pants!

My daughter is 49" and 47lbs. These fit a bit loose in the waist, but between the velcro adjustments and using a belt, it's not an issue. They will definitely work for a second season. They are very stylish and my daughter loves the purple. She wears them in all conditions and the insulation helps keep her warm even on the coldest days. The top step design is great for not having to start the zipper again, but it does make it a bit more difficult to get the boot out of the pant. Also, the buttons are a little more difficult to snap than other buttons.

Size 6 great for smaller racers!

Our 48 inch tall ski racer needed zip off pants for race days. These are the only size 6 kids race pants that zip off I could find.

A friend recommended sync for the step side zip pant.

Syncs customer service was friendly.
Great quality. Well made product. Lots of pockets for snacks.
Easy to take off and on with ski boots on.
These are the only ski pants he wants to wear.

Pretty good fit is a bit off

The fit is tight in the crotch and waist is too short to the crotch area. Also on the jacket junior blaster the arms are too short and it should have a draw string at bottom to tighten against powder entering.
